My Garden
I’ve done a few posts now on some of my favourite recipes, and thought it was about time I showed off my garden. Now I use the term ’garden’ very loosly as it’s actually a roof terrace… and not a huge one at that – definately one of the downfalls of living in London is that any outside space is just so expensive.
Anyway, we try to make the best of what we’ve got and have decided to grow a number of things – most of them are edible! Below is our herb garden which has rosemary, chives, pineapple mint & lemon thyme. Snails absolutely love this basket so I have go out rain or shine every evening and chuck them off the balcony!
This year we have also started growing rocket as we use it ALL the time. It’s actually so easy to grow, and it has a really peppery taste, something I think it often lose if you buy it pre packaged.
Finally we have our runner beans – they are still only babies (and something has had a nibble at them) but they seem to be growing up the canes well now. Hopfully we will get a decent crop!
